January 2007 Newsletter

The January newsletter has been emailed to all subscribers.  If you are not a subscriber, click on the box on the right to be sure to get each monthly edition.  Past editions can be found on the News page.

Do you ever struggle with patience?  Wanting to see God move immediately in the hearts of unbelievers or new Christians that you know?  We all struggle with that, especially those of us with family members who are not Christians.  We also struggle with those that call themselves Christians who reject God’s Word.

With this new year, commit to draw closer to God, to return to holiness, to depend on God for your blessings.  Read AW Tozer’s “The Pursuit of God”.  Although this book was written many years ago, he describes the condition of the Christian community just like today.  As Barna said, we in the house church movement are the true revolutionaries for Christ.  But God can and will move on hearts if we, as His church on this earth, follow Christ and reflect His Glory to our neighbors, friends, family members, and coworkers.

Happy New Year 2007

I want to wish all the Phoenix area house churches a very happy 2007.  May God ignite a true revival in the Phoenix area.  For this to happen, we all need to be seeking God in prayer for our region.   I encourage everyone to be a part of a regular corporate prayer time.  You can join one that continues every other Monday night in the west valley or every other Tuesday night in the east valley.  If you can’t make either one of them, start your own and let us know.  Also, be part of the Saturday Morning Mountain Top Prayer Campaign that started last month.  There are many ways to take part in this.

Now that all the hustle and bustle of the holidays are over lets focus on doing all we can for the Kingdom.  If everyone invites just one person to join them in prayer we will double the prayer for Maricopa County.  As you prepare for Saturday listen to God.  How can we join God in praying for this place.  What would He pray if He went with us?

I believe 2007 is going to be a year where God's Kingdom expands here like it never has before.  Prayer is going to be a big part of it.  So lets get it on!

So start the year off right by taking part and inviting someone to join you next Saturday morning.   May 2007 be the year that God’s people in Phoenix and Maricopa County took prayer to new levels.  May God answer those prayers with His mighty presence through the expansion of His Kingdom.  Amen.
