First house church leaders meeting in 2009
Posted by ljoh3106 on January 8, 2009
I hope everyone had a blessed Christmas and a very safe Happy New Year. Sue and I were in Tennessee with our daughter and grand-daughters. We spent the last day of our trip going through a snowstorm and that was no picnic. But God got us through it safe and sound. We are so thankful for the time we could spend with our family and for the safety on the road provided by our Lord.
I wish I had some very profound words regarding 2009 but I really don’t. I just think it will be a very challenging one for our country and for all of us individually. But God’s plans will prevail.
Looking back to 2008, GodTube listed their top 8 videos of the year here. These are some really touching videos.
To kick off this new year, last year we planned our next house church leaders meeting for January 10. Yes, thats this Saturday morning. Also planned for this year is a Valleywide Gathering/Outreach at Encanto Park on February 28. This has already been reserved. This weekend, we will get together again at the Durango Grill, 3341 W. Durango in Phoenix at 9AM to share what has been happening and to plan our activities around February 28. Coffee and donuts will be provided. Tony and Eileen Mladenoff of the band Consider This, who also made the reservation, will be there.
Lets start the year off with a great turnout this week to support this gathering and outreach.

Gloreen,
Thanks for your interest. There are many house church communities in the Phoenix area. If you haven’t already, explore the pages of this website (see the tabs at the top of the page) to find out what the house churches are all about. Also note the map for house churches close to your home if you would like to visit. Its always a good idea to call first. For more indepth reading, I recommend a classic on house church: “Houses that change the world” by Wolfgang Simson.
I hope this has been helpful. Blessings, Larry
